Not sure what new MMO's are going to be worth playing in 2012? Hopefully this will help.

I didn't bother with an 'MMO Preview' article last year for one simple reason, nothing worth writing about was due to be released and I had strong doubts about the direction that Star Wars was taking. Thankfully 2012 looks set to be a lot more interesting and, even though I've kind of given up on MMO's, there are a few titles that I'll play (PlanetSide 2 and Guilds Wars 2) and a number of others that might just be worth a look.

The Syndicate's Facebook group seems to have been archived so in the meantime I've made a new 'Page' on Facebook, which was before I realised that you could also make a new 'Group' too. Both seem very similar. Anyway for the time being our old group..

Sony Developer Confirms PlanetSide NEXT (PS2)

The President of Sony Online Entertainment (SOE), John Smedley, has officially confirmed that PlanetSide NEXT (aka - PlanetSide 2) is indeed in-development and a beta is expected to take place at some point during 2011.

John Smedley said:

"In other news - early next year we will have announcements about Planetside Next followed by a beta. I can say this - it's coming along awesome. I can also say that the first beta testers are going to be current Planetside subscribers. I've gotten a lot of email from current players offering to help test the game and we're going to take them up on it."

Brake out the drinks.. we're going to war, again.
